Red Devils Win Midget Football Championship
The Red Devils captured the Midget football championship when they defeated the Braves 8-0. Both teams were up for this contest and played well and hard to achieve victory. The difference in these two teams is the tackling and blocking of the victors when the "chips were down". On the other hand the running of "Devils" backs accounted for sufficient advancement to sneak across for one tally and the hard charging line gave the champs a safety when Norcross tackled Crawford Wilson in the Braves' end zone for the two-pointer. Kaplan accounted for the six-pointer. James Brinkley, George Knight and Crawford Wilson played well for the Braves, while the entire championship team helped in their "team victory".

Court House Wildcats Beat Up Stone Harbor Midgets, Finish Season Undefeated
Starting off slowly, the Court House Wildcats got their attack in high gear late in the second half to dump a Stone Harbor team, 28-12, for their fourth straight football victory. Coach Andy Giostra's undefeated lightweight gridders finished their season with two victories over Cape May, one over Avalon Sea Rams and one over Stone Harbor. A pass interception by Ernest Jones and 55-yard scamper by halfback Enos Garrison accounted for two Wildcat touchdowns against the resort eleven, but it was the Cats' favorite end-around play that accounted for their yardage and their other two scores. Right end Harry Back scored twice on the end-around and left end Bobby Seddon set up Back's final score by running the same play to the opposite side. Court House failed to move with the opening kickoff and punted to the Harbor 30-yard line. Soon afterward Jones picked off a Tommy DeRosa pass and raced over for the Wildcats' first 6-pointer. An extra-point pass from quarterback Eddie Smith to Back made it 7-0, and that score stood at halftime as both teams exchanged punts for the remainder of the first half. Early in the third quarter, Jones again intercepted a DeRosa pass, returning it to the Harbor 25. Jones then carried it for the first down to the nine, and Back went the remaining distance on an end-around. The extra-point pass attempt failed, and the score was 13-0, Court House. Early in the final period, Enos Garrison broke loose over tackle and raced 55 yards to paydirt, and an extra-point plunge by halfback Charlie Wright gave Court House back its 2-touchdown lead, 20-6. The Harbor mites again fought back, however, as DeRosa hit Frank Mixner for the 55-yard scoring play on the first series of downs following the ensuring kickoff. A pass for the extra point was incomplete, and Court House led, 20-12, with time running out. The final Wildcat touchdown was setup by a 38-yard end-around run by Seddon. Back took it the final 15 yards, scooting in the opposite direction. Garrison carried around end for the extra point.
